Anthony Murray, Esq.
Anthony Murray, licensed in New York and California as an Attorney, is a partner of the firm. He was one of the founding partners of the firm in New York in 2012 and is the driving force behind our Los Angeles office. Anthony practices international corporate and business law in New York and Southern California, with an emphasis on services to family offices, personal legal matters for business people, investment matters, including federal and state securities matters. Our client base includes a number of well-known businesses, business people, family offices, SEC registered investment advisers, foreign advisers, U.S and foreign issuers. Anthony regularly advises individual business people on all aspects of advising personal and business affairs as well.
Anthony also handles and has experience of complex litigation matters, and has been involved in a number of notable matters. He has appeared and filed papers in litigation in a number of contested matters in State and Federal court on a number of important issues including the enforcement of judgments, injunctions and other complicated legal arguments. Anthony was appointed Receiver by New York State Supreme Court in the matter of Molina and Totalbank v. Chladek, (New York County, 603763/2006, unanimously affirmed on appeal (2016 NY Slip Op 04801 (N.Y. App. Div. 2016). He was responsible on behalf of the court for taking control of the debtor's TV stations and FCC licenses and arranging a successful sale. The creditors received full payment of their claims and there was sufficient surplus to make a payment to the debtor as well.
In addition to private practice he was a corporate counsel with the fund services division of Citco for eleven years (Citco Group companies are one of the largest offshore providers of corporate, trust and fund administration services). He also regularly provides legal advice on contracts, labor matters, corporate transactions, secured lending transactions and the formation and organization of legal entities (LLCs, corporations and limited partnership).
Anthony received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B (Honours)), First Class Honors (1996) and Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (1997) from the University of Dundee, Scotland.
